I have a backup that runs every night that cannot get to AREV when a users leaves their machine running Arev. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to Logoff Arev users either manually or automatic without having to roam the office looking for the bandit PC. Right now, I use Novell Manager to Log users off the network, either manually or by setting a login rights time period. I would prefer to be able to control AREV users directly instead.

Someone thought of a timer function that checks either the current time or maybe a file to see if a Perform Off should be executed. Can this be perform when a users has just left the screen waiting for an input.

Absolutly. What version of Arev. In v3+ you can piggyback a routine on the back of the periodic index update, which can check the time and log off users as required. I've used this to do exactly what you want, with a replace-index process. email me if you want details

From version 2.0 on several processing hooks were added to the indexing process.

Provided you have the workstations setup to do the indexing, you can add a post index process which checks the current time and either xecutes the rbasic logoff statement or a perform/execute "OFF".
