Anyone :)

We have an install running OI from a Novell 3.12 server on Win95 workstations. They have 2 users and are not using the NLM. Recently, when they run a report using Slist, only a subset of the records show up on a report. Now, with same data on a stand-alone machine, I get then entire record set in the report. Any ideas would be most welcomed.

Thanks,

Blair

Blair,

You say this just happened recently. Does that mean that things have been working OK for a while? Any recent changes made to the system?

You say "with same data on a stand-alone machine". Is it also the exact same indexes? Or could the indexes on the networked copy be #¤%&ed up?

Do your two users get the exact same subset? And is it the same subset each time?

Oystein,

Thanks for your reply. Today we got to the bottom of it today. The user had modified the Slist report spec in such a way as to produce the error.

Thanks

Ah - crafty fellows, those users!

Btw - one of my favourite user stories is about this museum running a 2 user app of ours (upgraded from single user), with two people doing data entry for several months before they discovered they had run two separate copies of the system.
