We are making progress on this migration but have run into something we are unsure of. We've moved our test area over to the new server, installed the NT Service 1.5 and NPP, then run fixvol on any .lks ] 64k.

Tomorrow, we are kicking users out and copying over the live database, running fixvol again. What we are not sure about is if we have to run the NPP upgrade for each copy of our database or only once for the server.

Thanks in advance;

David Craig.

You only need to install the service once per server (separate serial no. needed per server).

NPP/Client upgrade needs to be run once for each copy of ARev in order to load the network drivers to rebind the REVBOOT file.

Fixvol should be run on every folder with REVxxxxx.LK/OV files.

Thanks, that's exactly what we needed to know.

As I recall you should have the service shut down when running FIXVOL. It's easy enough to start and stop the service.
