SP1 for Win2003 and SP2 for XP introduced Data Execution Protection (DEP). If you have a suitable processor e.g. a new P4, then various applications may no longer work. For instance those that use an out-of-process OpenEngine like DWB or, in our case, various Delphi Apps that talk to an OEngine using named pipes or TCP/IP rather than using an InProcess Engine. Does anyone know if this is a result of Microsoft being over zealous or a coding issue. We are using Oengine version 4.1.3, but I understand that it has not changed much in later versions either and so might be the same.
Many thanks

We'd suspect a slight overzealousness - a quick Google reveals that lots of programs suffer from this including WMI (Publisher Microsoft Corporation). Http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352/ seems to suggest there is a tool Rev could use against the executables in question.
