I have installed the 30 eval version of the VIP software. I have been using it for about a week now. All of a sudden I can not press CTRL-BREAK to bring up the debugger. I start from design mode, press F5 proceed to the section I want to debug, press CTRL-BREAK and the Designer window is activated but no debugger window. Even though the Designed window is activated, I can not select anything there except END. I have tried it in three of my apps and none will enter debug mode any longer. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. Still not working. I am using WIndows95 on an IBM ThinkPad 760XD. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Michael,
Sorry for the trady response. Occasionally, I get a call from developers who claim that their debugger is not working. They report that after working for some time all of a sudden it doesn't. In most cases the settings in the ViP.INI file in the debugger section have been corrupted. Re-setting these values usually always fixes the problem.
Start by opening the ViP.INI file, located in the Windows directory. Using a notepad or similar type of editor, find the debugger section and set the values to the following:
Debugger
SourceFont=Courier,0,13
SourcePosition=9,36,661,528
VarPosition=320,86,735,578
Save the file and re-start ViP.
If this does not solve the problem, try the 'Run with Debugger' mode to execute your application and set a 'Breakpoint'.
To set or remove a breakpoint do one of the following:
·Double-click the line where you want to set or remove the breakpoint.
·Select a line and then choose Toggle Breakpoint from the Breakpoints menu on the Debugger menu bar.
When you set a breakpoint, a red circle appears in the breakpoint column to the left of the line. When you remove a breakpoint, the red circle is removed from the column.
Press F8 or F10 to "proceed to the section you want to debug".
Hope this helps,
