I have recently made an amendment to the system which involved shelling the Suspend command. An error has recently come to light that seems to be the same after restoring everything as it was before the changes.

Situation - from TCL type suspend.

In Dos type Set

and then type Exit.

At this point we get an error when trying to return to ARev.

Error Msg W186

An error has occurred during the "SUSPEND" operation.

STATUS() is undefined code "1".

Ok this and another error appears

Error Msg FS133

Ubdefined error during a read/write/delete operation.

OS File : 4

Status():

Had anyone got any ideas ???

Thanks in anticipation,

Simon

I have seen this with all versions of Arev. You may want to read this article:

http://www.revelation.com/__85256DB80017688B.nsf/0/74E93500C3B4AFFC852564BC00480815?OpenDocument

or you can simply edit the sysmessages record for the error message and change the first line to N to keep it from displaying. I've never seen a situation where control didn't eventually go back to Arev after displaying the error.

Check the environment setting as to the location of the suspend file.

Make sure it is unique for each user and that the user has create/read/modify/delete rights to that file or directory.

The rollout/suspend file can be specified dynamically with the TCL ROLLOUT command.
