Hi all,

Can anyone shed some light on this …

I try and attach all tables programmatically at log on in order to be able to not have some tables available to all users, and to save having to keep the DBT correct at all time.

However, with a new table that has been created I cannot attach it via this method. It can be attached via Database Manager, I can Alias the table ok, but when trying to attach the table I get the SSP280 error message.

The Revmedia records look ok, there is no indexing info lying around in the Dictionary.

Running on OI4.03, Novell 1.5 driver.

Anyone got any ideas ???

From exec line in SysEditor,

Run Attach_Table 'Path', 'Tablename', 'SYSPROG'

in full …

Run Attach_Table 'H:\TSC\AREV\DJ_VOL', 'DJ410A00_THIRD_PARTY_THEMES', 'SYSPROG'

(Table created in ARev as Sysprog table, OI application not Sysprog)

In ARev at least, you have to provide the SYSPROG account/application password to alias or attach tables there.

Does the same hold true in OI32?

No, and using Alias_Table the same way actually attaches the table. I could change the code to do it that way but shouldn't have to need to !!

Saying that, probably does but I dont have a password on the Sysprog account anyway …

Are you running this in a loop.

If so, it may be caused by the Location being overridden by the Attach_table command.

Reset the variable within the loop, and it maybe OK.

Please post if this resolves it.

If only it were that easy :-(

I am on the main part, but that works fine for all others.

I am trying this as a single command via System Editor, and it wont work there either … although for some strange reason Alias_Table will work doing basically the same thing !!
