Is there a problem with having the temporary sort file path set the same for all users on Citrix?

Looks as if the sort file name should be unique per user per session, is that the case?

Works fine when the same network directory is used by all.

Sometimes I find strange-looking filenames in that path. So, I think that unique file names are generated.

Do each of the user workstations / sessions have unique @STATION values?

If not, I forwarded to Revelation the $SETSTAT routine - this can be used from the LOGON script to reassign a unique value for each @STATION value for each session - which should then make AREV assign different sort files for each user.

@STATION returns the server name on all Citrix clients. There is an environment variable CLIENTNAME that holds the computer name of the client.

Citrix creates a transitory temp directory unique to each connection and maps the temp directory to there.

Or you could give each user their own server.

The first (numberic) part of the station ID differs between Citrix stations but I cant be sure its unique. If others have used the same sort temp path for all Citrix users without problem, then I assume it must be okay. Thanks for your help.
