The client is posted as an 80MB download as one EXE or 5 separate files. But if the only thing you need is the basic client (not the ZEN workstation support or other included features), the only file you need is "wnt47e2.exe" about 14MB.
-After downloading, execute it with the '/Y' option to avoid repeated prompting when the subdirectories are created.
-After you have expanded the file, look under the "…\products\Winnt\i386" folder structure. Keep everything there, the rest can be deleted. You will end up with about 20MB of installation files.
-To install for each workstation execute …\PRODUCTS\WINNT\i386\setupnw.exe
-Choose custom install and remove option for 'Distributed Print Services' and select IPX only as the protocol (unless you need NW IP).
I have installed on 2 workstations here so far and AREV and the LH NLM seem to run fine. (we are on NW 4.10)
