We are trying to get our application running on our new NT
server. The NT Service is installed. The "System" user exists as recommended,
with full permissions. The NPP is installed; I've double-checked and yes,
it's using the "All Networks" driver. The weird thing is that when I try
to start the application from the icon on my desktop, I am immediately
presented with the following error message:
All Networks Driver 1.5.0.0
Unable to access Linear Hash files.Error=FS1105Group=1102At this point, the NT Service STOPS RUNNING.
If I don't have the REVPARAM files enabled with "ServerOnly=True",
I can then successfully start the application, although the NT service
isn't running, so I'm sure the app is vulnerable to all sorts of ugly stuff
at this point. The icon I'm using to start the application is
as correct as it can be: using the appropriate memory settings, screen
saver disabled, always suspend not checked, etc.
Has anyone ever seen this happen?? Can anyone offer any suggestions??

Problem solved!
The problem was with the share name that was set up for the drive the application is on. The share name was originally set to
"Protection BCD" … as soon as we changed it to "ProtBCD" (on my hunch that it should be more "DOS-like"), the application opened without crashing the NT Service and everything appears to be working the way it should … just in time for the users to get to work tomorrow morning, thank goodness!!
