We wish to print a mixture of bar codes and text.

In the past we used PBar from Bearrock but it is difficult to run under Win95/98

We want to print something along the lines of:

    Mr Barry Brown
  1. its important that a bar code fits 1 line
    1000 Brook Lane
    Brooksville

Any suggestions?

Easiest way to to get a barcode printer font that will work with your printer. Since barcodes really should be printed from a laser, or at least an inkjet, your printer should be HP compatible. Just switch to the barcode font, print what you want, then switch back. Set up something like this for someone in the reporter, and we even had the info showing up on screen in OI forms.

I just finished a barcoding program and I used Wasp Labeler + Zebra thermal transfer printers for labels.

I just dump the data to be printed to a text file, then call Wasp to pick it up and print it.

Works like a charm

I work with a variety of barcode setups.

If you use thermal printers, then you can get drivers (free) for them from the Bar Tender site at Seagullscientific.com

The Bar Tender product also alows you to send it code and it will print whatever you want where-ever you want. (but it aint cheap)
