I did notice that the PC has no expanded memory, and i dont know if that has always been the case.

If there is no expanded memory, that would be the first item to correct and see if the problem is removed. Also check the 5 other users who do not get the error message, if they have expanded memory then the lack of emm is almost certainly the cause of the problem.

Incidently STATUP is the name of the RTI supplied routine that updates the Status line on the bottom of the Arev window.
