I'm progressing with converting my AREV3.12 application to run under AREV32.

Here's my next issue.

I have a program that calculates FLSA overtime. The data gets written to DBASE compatible files.

I then have a Crystal report that I created that creates a separate PDF file for each employee. Employees are notified by email and they can access their PDF' files via OECGI. I return the PDF directly to the browser through OECGI (thanks to a fix that Mike made to the OECGI years back).

The reason for writing to DBASE was so that I had something that Crystal can read.

This is happening from my AREV3.12 application / now AREV32 under OI 9.3.2.

I am getting the following error: ENG0805: DBASE_BFS, LINE 1. Function OE_DBASE_C does not exist in dynamic link library OEDBASE.

I also have newer stuff that I've written (in OI) that uses Oracle and MS SQL tables directly, but would rather not have to rewrite the AREV3.12 stuff at this point. What's my easiest way to get my data into a format that Crystal can read? Is the DBASE bond still supported under AREV32?

Thank you for your time,

Jim Mabey

Jim,

In lieu of Crystal Reports perhaps you might consider re-writing the report with OpenInsight's Banded Report Writer. You can also write directly to SQL using the SQL Connector.
