We are running Advanced Revelation 3.12 on a Novell Netware 4.11 running NLM 1.12. The user is running Windows 3.11, DOS 6.22, connecting to the server using the following files and versions:

LSL.COM 2.20

EWRK3.COM 4.01

IPXODI.COM 3.03

VLM.exe 1.21

LHIPXTSR.exe

The full error is as follow: The station ID cannot be found. You will not be able to lock tables or rows. Data corruption may result!

The problem only occurs sporadically and on different units.

The users logout and can re-enter OK.

Any help would be highy appreciated.

I think there is an easy solution to the problem, but I need more information.

- Are there routers involved in the network and are the supporting the SAP protocol.

- Are there 'FFFFF' on the 5th line of a file handle p.e.

EDIT SYSTABLES VOC

and look at the fifth line.

- are the *.exe files flagged ROS

- Do all files have the same owner?

Please give all the possible useful information you have got on the web or on email [email protected]

We are using a Ethernet connection running frame type Ethernet_II

The frame types are correct and cache is disabled.

Yes there is routers involved in the network. They are supporting the Novell SAP protocols.

The 5TH line in the file SYSTABLES.VOC is as follows:

00000AFFFFFFREV21074.lk

The *.EXE files rights are set to RWA and all files have the same owner.

The problem has not occurred for the last couple of days.

Still need to know why it happens.

Thanks for your help.
