Occasionally when the Universal Driver manager is open on the server console an error message appears:

File System Message FS109

FS109: Open or Create Media error. The name "C:\Path\To\Volume…" is an invalid volume directory label.

The message appears multiple times and if I check the refresh button it will appear again. The service and clients appear to be working correctly. What is the cause of this message and how do I fix it?

Check your REVPARAM files. There should be a REVPARAM in the "Universal Driver" directory, your OpenInsight root directory, and possibly even another data directory not located under the OpenInsight root directory.

All of the REVPARAM files should have the same value for the "ServerName= parameter. The ServerName setting can contain an ip address or host name. If one of the values is different (i.e. one contains the ip address and another contains the host name) the Universal Driver Manager will post a warning message when it tries to read the tables in that volume.

The message is intermittent because the universal driver manager will only scan the volume when a client has it attached.

This should resolve the warning messages.
