Is there any way to get the NT Service (1.5) to do all index flushing. I currently have a dedicated client index machine and as the system grows, it creates more and more network traffic. If the NT Service will not flush the indicies, could I have the NT server log in as the dedicated index machine and run the NT Service as well? This would at least cut down on network traffic. This would also force me to lock the NT server, rather than log it out.

Basically the answers to both of your questions is no. There is no way to have the NT Service perform flushing. The workstations themselves may do so and can be forced to do so by running an Update_Index (in OpenInsight) and force a Flush.

Also, you should never run ARev or OI from the server (as a client) while running the NT Service. A dedicated indexer should always be a workstation on the network.
