We are considering moving to the UDH and was wondering if anyone could relay how their experience with it has been?

chip - what is your goal w/UDH? failover or backup?

Chip,
We've been using UDH for a year now, and are very satisfied. In the initial phase we probably underestimated the hw requirements for having it properly running on heavy loads (up to 256 OI sessions and up to 22 ARev sessions, concurrently). The primary db server sits now on its own dedicated machine, while the mirroring server shares another machine, together with some less demanding processes. The two servers are interconnected via a 1GB switch. Briefly, if you run a 24/7 business I would certainly recommend UDH.
Best,
Stefano

We are looking for it as a solution for business continuity, so our goal would be both failover and backup purposes.
Our idea is that we would replicate real-time using the UDH onto a backup OI server at our primary site and then replicate the data on the backup server to an off-site server at our location in California.
If we had an issue with our primary OI server, we would failover to the backup OI server.
If we had an issue where our primary facility were inaccessible, we would run from the off-site server.
Thanks for the responses!
