NEW 7.1
I tried to create a symbolic with the following formula
@ANS=FIELD(@ID,'*',1)
It tests and saves correctly but i get
DSIG is an invalid dictionary item
when executing from system editor
Any ideas?

it does feel like that some times .. in fact if you ask Aaron ..
But this is odd .. some of them work. Some don't. Really odd. Oh well

He's right. I've seen it happen to him before.
There is something in AREV 3.12 where the code goes…
if @USERNAME=DSIG' and ( RND( 1000 ) < 100 ) then debug end

Dave,
Are you sure it's this symbolic and not one of the other dictionary items?
And what do you mean by sometimes? Sometimes it breaks and sometimes it doesn't on the same symbolic, or you have a bunch of symbolics using this structure and only some of them break?
If the latter, maybe there's something with PROTECT.MFS jumping in, or a conversion code….
