Does anyone know what a 479 FS error means? A client seems to be getting this as a result of a LOCK statement. All the FSERRORS_400 equates say is "477, 478 and 479 are used internally by AREV and OI network drivers." They are running the NLM 5.5. Could there be too many locks?

M@,

In general, FS479 means an allocation error or an internal table is full error at the client driver.
In the case of the NLM, this usually means that the "Client Open File Table" is full. This table is used to cache the mostly recently used LH files that have been opened via the NLM. If a file has a lock or an active select, then it can not be closed from this open file cache, so having too many locks against enough files could be the cause.
The size of this table defaults to 20. You can increase the size of this table using the "ClientOpenFileTableMax" entry under the "RevelationServer" block in the OINSIGHT.INI file.
