One customer was having printing problems using OIPI in ver 4.1.2. The printout would be correct but would be scaled to about 1/4 of the page (printer - HP LaserJet 4050n), the customer referred to it as postage stamp size. After trying to fix the problem, we rolled them back to 4.0.3 and switched them over to the Report Designer and the printing problem went away. It almost seemed like OIPI was not initializing the printer properly.
we did the following OIPI testing:
i) print from OI , result - postage size printout
ii) print from Word, result - proper printout
iii) print from OI, result - proper printout!
iv) log out of OI and then back in, result - postage size print
Has anybody else had a problem like this? Has us stumped. Is their an initialization string that could be sent to the printer? Thoughts?
Thanks,
Hank

For the last month, we haven't "any" problem using OIPI in our printing.
However, just last week, our client told us about this postage stamp printing. At first I didn't know what the "h*ll" they were talking about until they physically brought us copies of what printed.
I didn't know what "they" could have done to caused this (they seem to think they did something wrong ), but sofar it's printing okay now.
In answer to your questions, yep we've seen it and hope we don't see it again. Of course there's no assurance that what caused the printing problem at our client site is the same thing at yours , but it would be good to fix if it's some weakness in OIPI.

RAY - did you report the problem here in the discussion lists? I think somebody did during the last year. I remember first thinking of a problem I once had, where margin sizes in millimeters or centimeters were interpreted as inches. But I soon changed my mind, and the reason *might* be because somebody responded with the real cause.
BOB - what I say is the answer *might* be in the discussion lists.

Oystein,
No, I never had this problem until very recently.

Ray,
Where I live snow comes and goes. The gypsy of winter, sort of. Currently it's gone.
If we go inland for an hour's drive there's snow enough for slalom and snowboard and whatever.
