Linear Hash Service Failure (Network Product)

I have encountered errors in the Eventlog on the server that was generated by the Linear Hash Service. When the error occurs the record that is being accessed is then locked and can not be released. We have had everyone exit the system, reboot, go back into the database and exit but the record is still locked. The only fix has been to stop the service and then restart the service. Any help or fix would be appreciated.
Eventlog error description listing:
The 'LHCreateFile' call failed, returning LH error number 1030, file number 0, group number 0. Unable to open REVLOCKS file at server.

The service opens the REVLOCKS file with exclusive access. Generally when this fails it means that some other process has that file open. One way this can happen is if a client tries to access the LH files without using the server. Another possibility is backup or virus scanning software.
