I have been seeing this error since the switch to the new o4w format. I am running IE 8.

I assume there is a fix but doing a search on browser version doesnt show anything helpful

O4W recommends the use of the Chrome frame plugin, especially for previous (pre 9.0) versions of Internet Explorer. The Chrome frame plugin allows Internet Explorer to comply with current HTML standards which, otherwise, it would not.

Since O4W uses the jQuery library, a cross-platform HTML/javascript/AJAX development library, it will continue to work even without the Chrome frame plugin, but your user experience may be reduced (for example, the Chrome frame plugin will speed up native Internet Explorer javascript processing up to 1000%; user interface elements will be styled in a more pleasing manner; etc.).

Note that if you decide not to install the Chrome frame plugin (by clicking the “x” on the warning message), you will not be prompted again to install the plugin for at least 90 days.

well I must have clicked on X yesterday as the message is not appearing today. If it shows up again

in 90 days I'll look at the plug in
