Greetings Fellow OI Developers!
While at the Sydney Revelation University a couple of weeks ago, a question was raised of 'How do I know the names of the OLE controls that I can use in OI?'
Aside from answering with some general ideas, we decided that it would be good to make as big of a list as we know and include it here on the website, and in the Help files. So, to build this list, can others here supply the names of the OCX, it's Control name in OI, and a description of what it does? Something along the lines of
MSCOMM32.OCX - MSCOMMLib.MSComm - Used to control serial ports/serial communication.
We'll make the list available on the website in a few days or weeks.
Thanks-
Mike

For OLE controls that work well with OI there are always the SRPCS Ole Controls
There is a set Microsoft Activex Controls too.

My Previous reference to Microsoft controls is dated
For Office Web Controls, see href=http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa295264(office.11).aspx]Office Web[/url]
For Office 2003 the progids are
OWC11.DataSourceControl
OWC11.SpreadSheet
OWC11.ChartSpace
OWC11.PivotTable
Earlier versions are OWC10.Spreadsheet, etc.
Note that using these builds in dependency on customer owning the licenses, installing the controls, having the correct version. But they are very useful controls.
Microsoft Common controls are in MSComCtlLib.
For example Progress Bar is MSComctlLib.ProgCtrl
A nice list of Progids is at

Not sure if people are aware, but here is a good free MS tool that displays all the OCX controls that are installed on your machine, and their ProgIds:
