The OINSIGHT folder appears to come with it's own copy REGSVR32.EXE, version 5.0, dated 2001. We have a DLL that fails registration in the OINSIGHT folder on 64 bit machines, using this old version. It will succeed if we remove OI's own REGSVR32.EXE, allowing the version in Windows to be used.

Does OI require this specific version of REGSVR32.EXE, or can it be removed?

Cheers, M@

REGSVR32 is just a redistributable of Visual C++. Given Rev's move to namespacing routines it is HIGHLY unlikely they've rewritten it so if the newer one works use it :).

Andrew is correct. Go ahead and use whatever version works for you.
