I have one customer purchased 2 desktop bundled with Windows Vista Home Premium.
Any problem running OI 7.X under Windows Vista Home Premium?
As refer to this System Requirements for OpenInsight
Windows Vista Home Premium is not in the list.
Anyone using Windows Vista Home Premium? Thanks first.

I have been using it for about a week for my development ( OI ver 7.2.1 ). I mean that OpenInsight is on the same Windows Vista computer that I am working from. I had only three issues…
1) Closing OpenInsight would cause it to stay in memory. The cause was RCL4.DLL I had a version size 344kb. I got a newer version from Revelation size 556kb. This solved the problem.
2) It seems to require that you modify the Windows shortcut's "Properties ] Compatibility ] Privlege Level" (check it) so that it will "Run this program as an administrator".
3) "User Account Control" wants to verify that it can run OpenInsight everytime… "An unidentified program wants access to your computer". The only I know of to resolve this is to disable "User Account Control".

I have also used Windows Vista "Remote deskktop connection" to connect to a Windows 2003 Server with OpenInsight on it. I had no problems doing this. It seems that Windows Vista has its own one terminal server license that works with Windows 2003 Server.
Hope this helps.

You will have issues joining a domain but that is a problem because it is the "Home" version. If you have to operate in a domain it is best to upgrade to pro.

556kb size of RCL4.DLL bundle with new version of OI?
What is the difference of RCL4.dll in this 2 different size?
How do I obtain the new version of RCL4.dll?

I called the Revelation office and then they emailed the newer version to me. That is all I did for it to work for me.
