I have a problem running reports from within Open Insight. I can create runtime modules and run the reports from my computer. I can copy the application across a network and when I run the reports across the network from my computer it works fine…. However, when I try to run the application from another computer —- everything works except for the reports. —– I get the following error. "Reporter caused a general protection error in module Imgman11.dll at 0001:01E6.
I can reproduce this error on several machines —- but I can not make it fail on my machine.

Bob,
Have you tried to run the Client install on these workstations that crash?

Yes I have —- Before I run the client install, Open insight will not run at all. It is the same client install that I ran on my workstation - and the reports work there.

As Don indicates, the problem you report is typical of Client install not having been successfuly run on the respective workstations. The Client Install simply copies a bunch of dlls to the winsys directory of the respective client PC. The dlls apply ONLY to Reporter.exe - so if you were not running reporter - no problem.
Another thing you should look out for is a Drive:\path that contains space and or long file names (exceeding 8 Char). That is if you have installed OI as C:\Program files\OInsight then you will get the reported problem –] should be C:\Software\OInsight.

Thanks a bunch! —- The client install ran without an error - but I will try manually copying the DLL's to the Windows\System directory to see if that cleans up the problem.
