Hi -

I am trying to replace my entire OpenInsight 10.1 folder.

I stop Liniar Hash Service

I stop Open Engine Service

It still says something has a lock on it - but It does not expand on that.

I there anything else that needs to be released by OI

Use the Computer Management utility to look for Open Files. If nothing else, restart the server.

Yes I have been stopping and starting the server and everything else.

No open files.

Are there any other services that REV OI O4W uses that need to be stopped - that you are AWARE OF ?

I take it you are telling me that the Computer Manager utility shows no files open. What about the folder itself?

You can also look at the Task Manager. Check both the Processes tab and the Details tab for anything that seems relevant. Just today I found in the Details tab an instance of OInsight.exe still open even though all other evidence indicated that it was not running.

I'm not aware of any other processes that would normally open the file but if you had any OI crashes then a process could still be running that has the file locked.

I have

Liniar Hash and OEngineServer both stopped and IDE is not loaded

BUT I still get:

OECGI4.exe instances popping up in Task Manager Details?

Are you running a webserver, like IIS, somewhere? If so, can you stop it?

Hi Don -

I stop IIS, Liniar Hash and OEngine Server

But I cannot rename ther OpenInsight Directory.

But I can delete it in its entirety and aI can copy it in its entirety.

So the bottom line is I accomplished what I was after.

Tx for checking in and the suggestions.

Glad you got this worked out one way or another. Does this server have any kind of malware or anti-virus program installed?
