When we try to run OI v4.1.1 on a client's system (NT 4.0 server with Win98SE workstations) we get very odd visual problems. For instance:

1. Only a tiny sliver of the splash screen appears.

2. All of our pushbmp's are missing. There is a light gray spot where these buttons should be. (They can be clicked on, but nothing visually happens with the buttons.)

3. All bitmap controls are missing. We can see through where these controls are supposed to be. That is, they operate as if they were transparent.

4. Our toplevel menu bar is missing. There is a light gray strip where the menu should be.

We dropped this down to OI v4.0.3 and that works great. Is this an expected problem? Should 4.1.2 fix this?

Don,

/ANSI or 4.1.2 fixes this.

Pat,

I thought I had tried /ANSI but we were dealing with other problems (cf. OIPI32 and custom page sizes) as well. So I could have overlooked that. In fact, if we can't work around the OIPI32 limitation we might have to scrap the upgrade for now and possibly refund their purchase price of the OI32 engine. However, I am very curious to see if 4.1.2 or the /ANSI will work so I'll schedule myself to test that specific issue.

Thanks,
