I Have successfully installed the "Eclipse Foundation" java and I can get the Oengineserver to run from the Dos box.

How can I install the OenigineSever as a service using the new 32 bit java supplied by Eclipse.

I suspect I need to modify the wrapper.cfg details.

Nay advice would be gratefull.

Chris,

When you ran the OESocketServer.jar file from the dos box (I assume you mean command prompt because there is an emulator named DosBox) did you have to specify the full path to java.exe or were you able to run java.exe without specifying the full path?

If you could run java.exe without specifying the full path then you should be able to go into the C:\Revsoft\OpenInsight\OEServer\ folder and right click and run InstallApp-NT.bat as administrator. This will install the windows service. Be sure to go to the OpenInsight folder using the local drive path and not a mapped network drive.

If you have to specify the full path to java.exe then there are a few additional things you'll need to change in the OEServer\Conf\wrapper.conf file but we'll cover that if you need it in another post.

Thanks Jared,

Uninstalled the OengineServer service and ran InstallApp-NT as administrator and the 32 bit service is now running.
