I have a couple of reporter questions:

1. How do you create a two page report or form?

2. It seems if you included a bit map image into the report it save the report outside of the repository. Why? Is they a way to save the report in the repository?

Thanks

Tom,

To have a two page form (in Form Designer), all you have to do is double-click on the Form/window itself which brings up the Properties of the Window. From here lies a 'number of pages' option.

Within Report Designer, if you would like to force an additional page to a report, you could insert a page break on the Drawing Palette (the icon is in the second column, fifth row). For example, you could insert a page break to your Report Header. This will cause the Report Header to basically act as a cover page.

Alternatively, you could toy with the report sections rulers on the left-side of the report to alter allocated section requirements. This could also force a second or additional pages as desired.

These are just a few of the things I've done in the past to achieve additional pages, there are other ways as well (adding blank rows, or, on menu go to Format-]Sections etc.). Toggling with the some of these features should allow you to get the desired appearance.

Now as far as your reports not getting saved to the repository, how are you exactly saving them? When you say Save as and choose Repository (default, unless altered), does it not let you save the report there?

I've made several reports with bitmaps and they default/save to the repository and they are henceforth loaded from the repository after exiting and restarting OI-]Reporter.

Perhaps somehow the default settings in your Tools-]Options-]General section (on Report Designer's main menu) has been set to somewhere outside the repository.

Good Luck,

-Stephen
