I have two problem with quickdex or maybe they could be related.

1)the quickdex is not uptodate.This causes my rlist selection not being able to select some records, thus it will be missing from my report as well as causes the update to miss some records.I thought the quickdex is updated right away as you save the records?

2)my previous problem with blank key causes the %records% to have blank entry.

Is there any setting to fix this or this is how quickdex is?

I have to remove the quickdex and rebuild it everytime which is very often.What is wrong with the quickdex?

I have seen in previous topics that Ray Chan had the same problem before and he had to remove the quickdex.Does it still happen? How may times do you have to do it? Mine is happening very often.

You could check that the application .DBT file has been updated so it includes the QUICKDEX.MFS on the file. Next time you install the quickdex, resynch the database to make sure the .DBT file is up to date.

Also, a quicker way to rebuild the index is just to delete the %RECORDS% record. The MFS should be reconstruct it on the next read or write.

Just delete %RECORDS%? And I wrote a QuickDex/RightDex installer to do that? Hmm. I probably ought to shut up now :{. Honestly William, never feel embarassed for what you don't know about OI.

It's been that way since ARev.

As long as the QUICK/RIGHTDEX MFS is installed %RECORDS% will be rebuilt.

BTW does OI have an artificial 64K limit on this record to keep it compatible with ARev?
