I've managed to get to page 31, "Converting an Existing OI Form to be Web-Enabled." But when I click the "Convert" button, I get this: "EXAMPLES is not a valid Databasee. Processes have not been created." SIC

What do I do next?

Was this an upgrade or a new install?

Is the WebOI subdirectory attached?

Thanks-

Mike

This error is generated from a couple of programs, but the most likely cause is a missing directory, file, or record.

Make sure that the WEBOI directory is attached. Make sure that the WEBOI_DATABASEE (not a type) is attached, and make sure that there is a record in that file with a key of EXAMPLES. This record should have a TimeDate stamp in field 1, and the word EXAMPLES in lines two and three.

Try these things and lets see what happens.

Mike

It appears that the WebOI directory, including WEBOI_DATABASEE are attached. When I try to open any of these tables in System Editor, no records are displayed. When I try to open WEBOI_DATABASEE in Table Browser, I get a message titled "Open Error": "Unable to open the DICT.WEBOIDATABASEE table!"

What network driver are you using?

Mike

Oooops…. That was the problem. It somehow was set to All Networks 1.5. I changed it to All Networks 2.1 and now the tables can be opened. By the way, this is on a stand-alone Vista machine.

Thanks so much for your help.

Stuck again - on page 31: "Converting an Existing OI Form to be Web Enabled." When I hit "Convert Form", I get "EXAMPLES is not a valid Databasee. Processes have not been created." Also, the DICT.WEBOI_DATABASEE does not show any rows. I checked, and the driver is still set to all networks 2.1.

There appear to be no records in that file.

Try setting your driver to the UD. It appears that one or more files where created using the Universal Driver.

Changing to UD worked. Thanks so much.
