To followup on an earlier messages dealing with missing processes in Mfs-Bfs chain in Arev (depending on how the process is performed) I have written a diagnostic mfs which writes the processing calls to a text file.

it works "swell" in Arev as a File mfs and Volume mfs.

In OI it works as a FILE mfs. But when trying to make it a Volume mfs by editing sysptrs VOLUMENAME and placing mfsnameSVMrtp57 in line 2 (same as Arev) when I try to attach the volume i get

problem loading mfsname?RTP57.

I have tried a VM in place of the svm and get the same results ..

So VOLUME MFS on OI?

I don't know about Volume MFSes and OI, but apparently somebody mucked things up.

Have you tried creating a full on BFS and then calling RTP57 directly yourself to delegate all calls you don't handle?

I think you have to place this in the SYSPTRS table.

sysptrs VOLUMENAME

Try it and let me know .. just use the mfs21.shell .. change the INSERTS but other than that just compile and put on a volume .. let me know if it works ..
