Faulting Application (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

I placed this on the regular discussion thread and we still do not have a solution.
We have a 2003 server, and have installed the application.
When we go to run it at the server, it never starts. If you look at the task manager, it starts to run, then windows removes the process from the task list.
The same is true for NETDRV and if you just try to start OENGINE
The application is loadable from a workstation, so we know we have a good footprint.
The message from the event viewer for OINSIGHT is:
Faulting application OINSIGHT.EXE, version O.0.0.0, faulting module
unkown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x01eb1f90.
What are the things that can cause this on a server?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Dana,
I just recieved a call on this yesterday from a different client and we are still searching for a solution.
I do not have this problem on my 2003 servers, so it is not inherent to OI/Arev and 2003.
One possiblity - 2003 has an option for not allowing any executables to be run directly on the server. This may explain what you are seeing.
Meanwhile, I will see what else I can find.

Dana,
I think Kevin is referring to Data Execution Protection. We've run into this problem before. It might be what you are dealing with.

Ok,
I fianlly got a hands on to the server, which we were told was exactly the same as the other 2003 servers.
Here is what I found and what was changed to make it work.
1. Data execution prevention had been set for a variety of things including OISIGHT NETDRV OENGINE ETC.
2. The server in question has processor support for DEP, where the others did not.
3. For server 2003 to change the DEP, control panel, system, advanced seetings tab, Performance button, Data Execution Prevention tab, enable all executables in your OINSIGHT directory, and apply.
4] It will probably ask for a re-boot. You can also control those setting ins the boot.ini file, or you can try to adjust the settings in the control tab identified above to see if there is an easier way.
Thanks
