When I do a F8 to Clear a particular form (MDIChild), the system will break to debugger. The debugger shows the source code as SEND_INFO and the message is:

ENG0012: REV_LOADREC, line 1. Table has not been opened.

I did a search on REV_LOADREC. The only references I find are related to ENG0000 and that it may be caused by a possible disconnect to the network. This can't be the case here since my is ENG0012 and I get the same result whether I do the F8 from a workstation or the SERVER (no network connection here.)

The server is Windows 2000, using OI32 and NT Services. Workstation is W2K also. Does anyone have any clues as to what I should be looking for? I'm stumped for now.

Appreciate any comments. Thanks,

Ray

Ray,

Can't really help you except explain a couple of things.

I don't know what REV_LOADREC is but believe it to be some basic routine or program the system uses all the time an app is running. Revelation or some knowledgeable developer will probably tell you soon.

You say you did a search on REV_LOADREC and found postings about possible disconnects to the network. But note that the message then is "Sys1000: Error Loading Program REV_LOADREC" which says the client can't even access REV_LOADREC and get it run. In your case REV_LOADREC clearly runs, but has an immediate problem in its first line. The problem is with some table which is not open (message ENG0012=Table has not been opened".

Oystein,

Yes, the Rev_Loadrec message that I am getting relates to "Table has not been opened."

What's strange and may be a clue is that I get this message when the Key Field is Blank and I hit F8 to clear the form. I have no explicit CLEAR event for this form.

This is strange. I would like to know what's causing this, but I may just redo this form ;-(

Took a while to track this sucker, but there was code on the LostFocus of our keyfield that was called inappropriately.

Dang, glad to find it and find in NOW.

Thanks.
