Attaching to data folders on 64 bit server (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

I wonder if anybody can help with this.
We have a client running our application on a 64 bit server.
They also have a stand alone application running on a 32 bit pc.
Is it possible to attach to a data folder on the 64 bit server from the application on the PC.
First attempts would say no because the data on the server is being accessed through the service.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks

I suspect 32/64 bit question is a red herring.
Certainly with UD4.5 service running on 64bir server, LH 4.5 client, TCPIP settings in revparam, SYSTEM users has full access to all files, you should not have a problem.
I believe older versions of serviee will run OK, though I swaer there is a named-pipes policy in server 2003 that can block the service.
What versions of OpenInsight, Windows and Linear hash Software are running on the client and server? Do you get any error messages? Is it possible that you are using a 2.1 NT service to attach a folder that was created with a 3.x version of the universal driver?

Bob.
The stand alone version wasn't running Universal Driver.
Switched to this and was able to attach.
Seems the 64bit was indeed a red herring.
Thanks for your help.
