I perform an upgrade using an installer to place the files in the correct volume and then run a bat file to open OI as user UPGRADE which then triggers the upgrade process. The uppgrade process calls rdkmoduleinstall correctly passing the 'from' and 'to' directories.
It then writes some upgrade history stuff and closes.
The first time it runs, it hangs. If I manually close OI with the task manager and run again, it works perfectly.
Using the debugger, I can see that it is hanging in rdkmoduleinstall
I think this is now distributed without source. I do have an old source, and could replace but don't want to do that for future compatibility.
Any suggestions?

I had similar problem. I think you'll find you may have to call RDKMODULEINSTALL via RDKINSTALL for it to work (even if you "tweak" RDKINSTALL).

I call rdkmoduleinstall from ARCS_rdkinstall which is a modified version of rdkinstall. I finally recompiled the rdkmoduleinstall source that I had and all is working just fine now. Still don't know why it would hand the first time and run the second time.
