IDX_SETS (OpenInsight 32-bit)

When you change the system to use IDX_Sets2 each station must have already run ClientSetup.exe to ensure the IDXSets2 module is installed. You can verify it is installed by checking the Add/Remove programs list on that workstation. If it isn't installed please install it and try IDX_Sets2 again.

OpenInsights idxSets v1.2 is installed. I changed the CFG_IDX_SETS records in both our development and our production system back to IDX_SETS2 and re-ran the Clientsetup.exe and v1.2 is still the idxSets that is installed. We are on v.9.2.1. Is IdxSets2 not yet available in this version?

the SYSENV*CFG_IDX_SETS record currently has two settings; IDX_SETS or IDX_SETS2
The IDX_SETS value uses V119.dll for sorting sets. This is the classic OpenInsight/AREV sorting routine. The routine has limitations with large datasets and is based on old C and assembler code.
the IDX_SETS2 value indicates OI should use the new idxSets .NET module installed by the ClientSetup.exe. Current version of idxSets is 1.2.
By specifying IDX_SETS2 in the configuration record OpenInsight will use "OpenInsight idxSets v1.2" module listed in Add/Remove programs.
When you change the value in SYSENV*CFG_IDX_SETS to IDX_SETS2 does the problem still occur?
