I'd like to have my Arev32 users running in the EGA43 video mode, that is, 43 rows by 80 columns. Arev32 itself has no obvious support of VIDEOCONFIG.

I see in oinsight.ini an entry under the CTO section named Arev32_Standalone_Form_size=385|32|869|828

Perhaps that can be modified to get the effect of EGA43. I can't find a definition of those parameters?

I messed around with the oinsight.ini row and found that is merely the most recent position and size of the Arev32 frame. The number of rows in the frame are not affected. x position, y position, x width, y height are the parameters.

Solved my own problem when I found a file named AREVC.INI in the OI 8 default folder. Although you cannot use the Arev32 Workstation\ Display\ Environment Video Display Mode you can edit AREVC.INI

The number of lines is on line 3. I changed it to 43 and was able to find a decent-looking layout by adjusting the corner (and size) with the mouse.

Hi, Dave. When you use the Workstation/Display/Environment window, and you hit for the Video Display Mode, what do you show? On my system, I see choices for Default as well as EGA43, VGA43, and VGA50. Selecting these does, indeed, change the rows/columns in the AREV32 window, the next time AREV32 is started.

Perhaps my VIDEOCONFIG record is different from yours? Although I would imagine this isn't a 'normal user' way to change things, you could manually edit up the VIDEOCONFIG record (located in SYSENV) to modify existing, or support additional, settings.

I don't have a VIDEOCONFIG row in my SYSENV. The SYSENV is in REVBOOT of OI 8.0. The OI 8.0 was created from the Annual CD, then I applied the downloaded OI 8 Upgrade to it.
