Setting Line Spacing of Static Text (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

I raised this one about 2 years ago but without a satisfactory solution. Maybe someone out there is older and wiser now!
I want to set the line spacing of a static text object to match the cell spacing of an edit table alongside. I don't want the text wiped with CLEAR event - hence it seems a static text object is necessary if I'm not to refresh it at every create/read and clear/write.
Any ideas?

You could use an edittable (or other control) alongside the table then use a promoted event for clear. Possibly turn off refresh .. then forward along the chain .. then refresh the data (that gets cleared) and refresh the screen.
That should work.
In the past we have used label controls and simply futzed with the text/font to make it 'similar' but this would probably work better ..

Thanks for speedy response.
In the meantime I've been having a "futz" (not a four-letter word I've met this side of the Pond).
Arial 8 Bold in a static text seems to match exactly edit table cells with MS Sans Serif 8 Bold to depth at least 15 - and it looks very similar.
Static text altered in content and size on the fly doesn't suffer the "rub-out" problem I've just described in another posting when one uses Utility create (and it saves spawning quite a few screen objects).

from Merriam Webster (www.m-w.com)
Main Entry: futz
Pronunciation: 'f&ts
Function: intransitive verb
Etymology: perhaps part modification, part translation of Yiddish arumfartsn zikh, literally, to fart around
slang : FOOL AROUND 1 – often used with around

I guessed it might have been a transatlantic corruption of that old and respected word. Here we use "Cockney rhyming slang" and refer to a "raspberry" which is short for "raspbery tart" which rhyms with "". Much simpler than all that technical stuff.
Am I opening a transatlantic thread on Cockney rhyming slang?
How about "Bristols"?
