I am having problems with the version of table builder that I have…on 9.3.1

The clean copy of oi 9.3.1 auto fills the fields including Justification plus the varchar is 255

The copy I have is:

putting fields in the keys area
not auto filling the justification and the other auto fills are only when tabbed on.
the var char is 65531

I deployed all the references starting with TB_ for Wins,Evens and ssp from the clean OI.

the varchar 65531 is now 255 , but the other problems remain.

NOTE:

Table builder in the sysprog account is OK, it is just in my account which is weirder.

Any other related entities that I could try copying.

I have put bypasses in my promoted events for CtrlEntID starting TB_

RTI, can you help me

We saw this behaviour and reported it at here. We tried to get it reproducible with RTI but eventually just copied in clean the EVENTEXES and SYSOBJ from a clean install to get around it.

So you used deploy application, all application entities and then manually went looking for all starting TB_ ?

We actually took a full install, copied the SYSOBJ and SYSREPOSEVENTEXES dos files over a temp table, aliased the temp table and record copied in with overwrite.

Did this but still the same.

SYSPROG is OK.

BSBS is not.

I now find the same problem on another system that was not developed by me, that was upgraded to 9.3.1

Problem is:

Columns that should be auto-filling are not.

Is anyone else seeingthis.

The behavior here suggests you have a window or program in your account starting with TB_ that is overriding the system programs. Check your sysobj file for any program starting with TB and ending with your account. Same for sysreposwinexes.

Thanks Bob, will let you know.

No, cant find anything.

This other company system I am working on, well I helped them out in the earlier days with routines of mine and a system copy.

SO, it MUST BE ME, but What.

btw: How do you see where promoted events have been implemented.

Doubt it is a promoted event since they are saved at compile time. Would you want to send your root directory of OI only to our FTP site and I can check it out. If so send me an email to [email protected].

Email request sent.

I actually did want to know how you find promoted events<s>

Barry

Look in the SYSREPOSEVENTEXES table for any records that end "OIWIN*" - they are your promoted events.

There is a bug in the Table Builder screen if you are maintaining the database columns in the repository. The defaults do not populate on the screen if you are in any application other than Sysprog, but they do save correctly. We will be looking at this in the next release.
