On 5/8, Mike said that a "new" 4.0.2 update would be posted in a day or two.
Is it gonna?
Thanks,

Dave-
I built the upgrade on the 13th of May; I can't recall if I uploaded it or not.
I'm in Oz right now, at CeBit, but when the office opens I'll check with them.
Thanks-
Mike

Mike,
The 'New' 4.01 to 4.02 upgrade fails on runtime engine / both single and multi-user v4.02. (No problem on the 4.02 dev engine.)
Is there any changes to the engine - we can work round it at present using the dev Oengine.exe and then swaping the runtime over - but long term this would be no good for remote sites.

Mike,
I think the list of addressed issues is that same as the April 23 posting was. Could you please issue a revise list issues?
Also, just out of curiosity, why do you have multiple releases with the same revision number. Somebody might get confused . I wouldn't mind if you had a 4.0.21, 4.0.22, etc, if that's the way you wanted to do it.

or just cite build number / date in the readme. This allows us to destinguish if the update has been refreshed. Upto now we had to download the whole update and then check date.

In that case, how do we update the runtime engine???

Just tested this fix on '98.
It did not fix the problem with reporter.exe. I still get the error "Invalid Security to Process Report" error message when running a report when trying to execute a report with the following code.
STATUS=UTILITY('RUNWIN',DRIVE():'\REPORTER.EXE /AP=W_TACTIC /UN=W_TACTIC /RP=.\DATA\REPORTS\tacboms.rpt /RE=0 /PV=1 /QU')

Jim,
Could you run this on both Win98 and WinNT (which works, right?) and create an OpenEngine log during both runs. Then zip the two runs and email them to me at [email protected].Thanks,
Pat

Mike or anyone,
There's a new upgrade 4.01 to 4.02 dated 6/4/02. I'm assuming this has the latest fix. However, when I apply this I get an error message "…unable to access linear hash file Error 109."
The "upgrade 4.01 to 4.02 version" may be the the wrong version for me since I'm currently using OI4.02. I looked again and see a 4.02 upgrade. However, the 4.02 upgrade on the website is dated 4/23 (4/28). Should I use the 4.02 upgrade because it does include NEW fixes pass the dates associate with it.
Thanks,
Ray

I get exactly the same problem (same message) on our Win NT machines - havn't been able to run any Reporter reports since upgrade to 32 bit.

Bob,
There is a later fix for this problem than the last 4.0.2 upgrade posted. Ask Mike for an early release if this is a show stopper for you.Pat

I may have spoken to soon, I just got some feedback from our Boston office and it seems that this does not fix it for them.
Let me do some more testing here and I'll get back to you.
