I'm one of the lucky customers using UDH for a while now. It runs well, is stable and reliable. I'm just wondering if it is still at version 3.1 (with its interface base on OI 7.2) and if there are any new releases on the roadmap.

We're finishing our latest version of the UDH. We have new features in it, including much faster playback of the journalled files.

As we get ready for release, we will contact all current users with update information.

We are getting ready to beta the next generation of the Universal Driver Heavy. Based on the feedback of our users, we have made it more configurable, drastically improved the speed of the replay and tightend up the connection between the Primary Server and Mirror.

You will now be able to:

- Have emails sent whether or not the LH Manager is running

- Toggle between Jounaling and Mirroring from a command line or using a batch file

- Decide how you wish to optimize Journaled files for replay - providing a substantial increase in current replay speeds

- Better reporting in the log files

- More extensive Technical Information section in the manual, including all possible error messages generated in the log files

Those are just some of the of the changes you will see. There are others that you won't see that will improve the overall product.

Mike - is the UDH still to continue being priced as an up front $ ticket item followed by maintenance or are you also going to allow monthly / annual maintenance style pricing without the initial $$$ charge?
