OCX suggestions (OpenInsight 32-Bit)

Now that we can use OCX controls, could we have a page or category on the web site where people can discuss their experience with various 3rd party controls?
For example, since I have never worked with third-party controls, I wouldn't know where to start. Andrew mentioned 3rd party controls to use instead of Edittable, for example, but how would I know which controls will have the functionality I want in OI? I would have no idea.
If we could have a place where people could discuss controls they have had success with (or not), it would be great.
Thanks,
David

Good suggestion David.
Similar suggestion came up during the beta test.
Maybe a new topic in this thread?
For now, you can search the web for topics like "OCX Controls Sale"
or go to a software vendor like
www.programmersparadise.com and search on OCX.
Design time support for OCX controls in OI 4.1 is pretty slim. Once I find a control I like I have been taking the controls, opening Excel or word, going to tools macro visual basic editor, then adding a new module, then adding project refernect to the control, then using the VBA object browser to examine the methods and properties. If you buy a control then of course you will have the documentation for it.
Desing time suport will improve greatly in future OI releases.
If you are going to buy a control make sure you can distribute it with your project.
Hope this helps,
Bob
