I just using check out copied a form into my copy of OI, it had been changed by a co-worker.

Now when I compile the form the status line of the form designer says:

W_TACTIC*OIEVENT*HELP*SALES_ORDER.PROMISED_SHIP_DATE compilation failed.

And I get an dialog that says:

REP123 Cannot find the associated component REP123 of entity W_TACTIC*HELP*SALES_ORDER.BEST_SHIP_DATE

What is broken and how do I fix this?

Jim,

When you checked out the form, did you check out the events that correspond to the form. When you check out a form it will only check out the OIWIN entity. You need to specifically advise the tool to check out all associated entities.

I already had a copy of this form on my computer, it used to compile fine.

My co-worker added no new events, he added a control and moved a few controls around.

Why would he need to checkout the events, I already have them?

Something else has gone wrong I think.

Any ideas anyone?

The control he added was copied from another form.

The copied control had no events.

If we delete the new control the form compiles.

The added control is not the same as either of the controls mentioned in the errors I get when compiling.

Exporting the form plus all events did not work.

I have no idea what went wrong with this, but fix it I first deleted the existing form on my system. Then my co-worker exported the form and all of the events from his system which I imported into mine.
