Trying to attach a table that was made in AREV32. Our application is called Sterling

I get the following error when selecting the table to attach:

FS404: The "STERLING" volume has the same label ("AREV32_61704") as the "RTP57*STERLING" volume and cannot be attached.

Just for experimentation, when I try to make a new table, I now get the following error:

SYS1000: Error loading program

"WINAPI_WNETGETUNIVERALNAMEA"

I used to be able to attach tables OK.

Something got borked up. any clue what has happened to my install?

Did you recently upgrade your Universal Driver service to 5.2? Perhaps this thread will help:

Thanks for that Don, it solved the SYS1000 error. But something is still funky with database. If I try to create a new table I get the following errors:

An Error occurred during the Dictionary portion of Create Table.

I was going to comment that I thought this was a separate problem, but I wasn't entirely sure if they were connected. This error typically comes up when you attempt to attach or alias a table from a volume with the same internal volume name as a volume that is currently attached. This is a common occurance when the REVMEDIA.LK/OV files are copied into another folder.

This can also occur when the same volume that is already attached is referenced using a different path name. For instance, if your existing volume is attached with a mapped drive path and then you try to attach it using a UNC path, the UD gets confused and thinks it's a different volume.
