What is the most efficient way to upgrade an application from OI4.31 to OI9.31? I attempted an Appbackup/Restore. Initially it looked like it worked but then I realized most system procedures perhaps other entities were missing.

I believe I did precisely that for a developer last year- an app-backup for the application and then restore. And dont Ap-backup the data - just copy the folder over - assuming you arn't using datavol :wink:

It would be a good Idea that you put some effort into ScanRep - getting rid of any inconsistencies in the repository first- wrt your application.

Once you have restored into OIv9x you may find you need to adjust forms cosmetically - fonts used in OIv4.31 will possibly have re-sized a smigin. Some methods - such as Tabs are done differently - the previous code will work - but smart to replace.

I did try serveral times, but was not able to restore it properly on OI9.31. But I was able to restore it on to an OI9.21 version without any issues.

Interesting.

The upgrades I did, were indeed direct from OIv4.1.3 to OIv9.2.1 using appbackup. Possibly a change in processes / environment with the later environment.
