Keyboard control lost in Arev32 (Arev32)

I have only recently experienced this issue and I am running OI 8.0.8. When I launch OI in dev mode, launch my Arev32 application then minimize the OI window (leaving only the Arev32 window open), I am unable to interact with Arev32 using the keyboard. The mouse still appears to be able to interact with Arev32. Is this a documented problem? The problem appears even when testing with various machines.
Thanks!

Hi, Matt. I've seen this kind of behaviour sometimes; if you minimize and the re-normalize the AREV32 window, does keyboard focus come back into AREV32?

Bryan,
Indeed, it does. Is there a way to remedy this from occurring when the OI window is minimized and the Arev32 window remains?

Happens to me, to. Never noticed before.
Probably because the AREV32_STANDALONE_FORM has OpenInsight window as its parent.

Would this be considered a bug? Should a child become unresponsive to the keyboard (albeit, I can still interact with the mouse) when its parent is minimized?

Mat, it should be fixed in release 9.0.1. Only happens if your indexing is set to 0 in OI.

Would I be able to set my indexing to something other than 0 in OI 8.0.8 to remedy this issue for the time being without upgrading just yet?

Setting the indexing to 0 means the work stations will not do any index updates and you must have an index server set up to do the indexing. If this is you current environment you can stop the index server and set the indexing to 5 or some other number which will alleviate the idle issue.

Bob,
We don't currently have a dedicated indexing server but are experiencing this problem. As we don't plan on having a dedicated indexing server just yet, how do I go about changing this value in OI? What is the significance of the value "5"?
Thanks.

The 5 means update indexes every 5 seconds. If it is set to 0 and you do not have an index server then when are your indees being updated? To change the setting you must do it in the OI database manager environment settings.
