OK - before I reinvent the wheel, again, has anybody adapted the Sql Universal Data Model (http://www.univdata.com/)to a multivalue environment.

you do remember who you are writing to don't you
if we can't denormalize to 1 column (and why not just the KEY) then what use is it
Okay .. no kidding around .. haven't implemented yet but have looked at it a couple of times. It appears to be a good 'model' for development.
Which bits are you interested in implementing?

I am interested in implementing the whole darn thing. I have The Data Model Resource Book volumes I and II and the CD_ROM for volume I that comes with Sql Server Enterprise. My first thought was to save the SQL schema in XML and then use that schema to create tables and dictionaries
in OI. The Sql database did not match the book and some of the table schemas were crap. I had to invest a fair bit of time learning SQL and assorted tools to create XML schema.
The first model I am creating is PARTY. Still deciding how many sub tables will be required. As multivalue only "costs" one charcter per field I will rollup some tables into the supertype PARTY.

The PARTY model uses 40+ tables in SQL just to model people and organizations and their relationships.
