After all these years it has finally happened:

A customer still using Arev DOS wants to run it in a MAC on a network.

The MAC has access to the Windows Server that everyone with a PC uses for Arev DOS.

Is this possible? Caveat?

Hi Dave,

Your best bet is to convert to Arev32 and run your Windows application on a Mac. Running Arev DOS on modern Windows environments (Vista, Win 7, Win 8, 2008 Server) is a stretch. Nothing is impossible but Arev DOS on a MAC might come close to impossible, certainly not worth the effort.

My two cents: use terminal server with a Mac rdp client.

I think Bob is on the right track. There is a terminal server application named 2x which has a mac client to allow terminal server applications to run in a desktop-less window on the mac. It looks like the windows application is running on the mac as a normal application. If you have a Mac and would like a demo I can connect you to our test 2x server, just email me jared@revelation.com.
